  8. This is a simple utility I created for my personal/work use.  I have cleaned
  9. it up somewhat and it seems to be fairly reliable.    Use it at your own risk.
  10. Feel free to offer suggestions or report bugs.    I may chose to enhance/fix
  11. the utility, or I may not.

  13. The program takes no parameters.  It merely searches the default directory
  14. for all .PCC and .PCX files, sorts the names and produces a printed
  15. catalog on any HP Laserjet II/III or compatible.  Graphics are scaled to fit
  16. 16 per page, 4 across and 4 down.  The name of the file is printed underneath
  17. each picture.

  19. Only black & white PCX/PCC files work correctly - color files may print but
  20. may not look right.  To load and scale the graphics, the program first uses
  21. EMS memory, if available.  If not, it tries to use conventional memory (some
  22. of the 640k accessible by MS-DOS).    If not enough memory is available between
  23. these two methods, it reverts to a "virtual memory" scheme that uses disk
  24. space.    This is a nifty feature - and works quite nicely, but by nature is
  25. much slower than direct memory access.
